Here are detailed steps you can follow to troubleshoot this issue:
Unplug the dryer: Safety first! Before attempting any internal inspection or repair, you must completely isolate the appliance from the electrical supply. Locate the wall socket where the dryer is connected and pull the plug out firmly. This action eliminates the risk of electric shock, as internal components, especially the high-power control board, can hold a dangerous residual charge even when the machine appears off.
Visual inspection: Carefully access the interior compartment where the motor and associated electronics are housed (this usually requires removing the rear panel of the dryer). Thoroughly check the wiring loom connecting the main motor to the electronic control board. Look meticulously for any signs of physical damage, such as brittle, melted, or chafed insulation. If the control board shows clear evidence of triac failure or overload, replace the main control board. Test: After securely installing the new or confirmed good component(s), reassemble the dryer panels. Plug the dryer back into the electrical outlet.
