1. Check the Water Tap and Supply Pressure

It is critical that the appliance is receiving adequate water pressure.

• Ensure the Water Tap is Fully Open: Locate the cold water tap (usually behind the machine or in a nearby cabinet) that supplies the washer-dryer. Ensure the handle is turned completely to the ‘on’ position. If it is partially closed—or accidentally bumped—it will significantly restrict the flow, triggering Error Code 1.
• Test the Tap Output: If possible, disconnect the supply hose (ensure the tap is turned off first!) and momentarily open the tap into a bucket to verify that water is flowing strongly and consistently from the household supply.

2. Inspect and Clean the Filters (Sieve Inserts)

The most common cause of restricted water flow is blockages in the small mesh filters designed to catch sediment and debris from the water supply. These filters are often located at two points:

• Filter at the Tap Connection: Turn off the water tap completely. Unscrew the supply hose where it connects to the wall or tap. Inside the hose connection end, you will find a small wire mesh filter (sieve insert).
• Filter at the Machine Connection: Check the inlet connection point where the hose screws into the back of the washer-dryer. This location often has a second filter screen.

Cleaning Procedure:

• Carefully remove the filters using needle-nose pliers or tweezers.
• Rinse the filters thoroughly under running water, scrubbing gently with a small brush (like an old toothbrush) to remove any accumulated dirt, sand, rust, or limescale deposits.
• Ensure the filters are completely clean and replace them securely before reconnecting the hose.

3. Examine the Water Supply Hose

The supply hose must be clear and unobstructed to allow full water flow.

• Check for Kinks or Bends: Inspect the entire length of the supply hose, particularly the sections behind the appliance or where it connects to the tap. Kinking is common if the machine has been pushed too far back against the wall. Straighten any tight bends immediately.
• Check for Visible Damage: Look for any signs of physical damage, cuts, bulges, or leaks. Even minor internal damage or degradation can impede water pressure.
• Hose Replacement: If the hose appears stiff, cracked, or damaged internally, it must be replaced. Use only approved supply hoses designed specifically for high-pressure washing machine applications to ensure proper sealing and performance.

4. Restart the Machine

After performing all external checks and cleaning procedures, you must reset the appliance to clear the active error state.

• Power Cycle: Unplug the washer-dryer from the power outlet for 5 to 10 minutes, or turn off the power at the circuit breaker. This allows the internal control board (module) to fully reset.
